About Projects Day
Each year, hundreds of cadets from all academic departments participate in Projects Day by presenting a design project or thesis. Whether individually or as a team, cadets demonstrate their ability to integrate academic and military knowledge and skills, as well as demonstrate presentation and communications skills. The event also gives cadets a chance to explore majors, learn from examples, and fulfill an integrative experience requirement.

About the artwork in the Dean's site banner:
The eagle artwork is taken from the USMA diploma. The wreath and star are cadet achievement awards. The star device (Dean's Award) signifies academic achievement and can be bronze, silver or gold. The wreath device (Superintendent's Award) signifies overall achievement in the academic, physical and military disciplines of cadet training.
The sculpture of the cadet can be seen at an entrance to Thayer Hall,
while the archway faded in the background is from a sallyport of Taylor Hall.
