Dr. Wattenberg joined the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the United States Military Academy on 29 June 2001. He has taught at Harvard University, the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Weber State University, the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Carroll College in Helena MT, and Montana State University and held visiting positions at the University of Paris, X (Nanterre), and the University of Warwick. His research interests include Mathematical Logic, Nonstandard Analysis, Differential Topology, and Mathematical Economics. Most recently, he has been exploiting the potential of Computers, the World Wide Web, Java applets, Macromedia Shockwave, and advanced technologies in science and mathematics education. He has a particular interest in the use of digital libraries in education. He spent one year at Texas Instruments and two years at the National Science Foundation in the Division of Undergraduate Education.
